The New Year...
Hi All,
We're here in the new year. Unwashed and slightly plump. The Christmas came and went. Low key, no tree, minimum palaver. Not a great time to be celebrating peace and good will to all men and women. However... family and friends are reassuringly older, harassed, dozier, wrinklier and incredibly lovely.
I hauled myself out of a flu-ridden bed, for a flurry of gigs (19 n-n-n-na 19!!) in November and December, culminating in a double header at the Brudenell.
Jonny drove us all relentlessly up and down the country ..and we delivered some blistering performances.
This year brings some new songs, a couple of belters which we'll be delivering at Seven Arts in Leeds on Feb 14th( Look out for DIRTY BUS!!!).
The following week we're on the bill with 'Pulled Apart By Horses' at Kirkgate Community Centre in Shipley.
There's a wee Library tour later in Spring, involving me n Jonny playing a stripped down set and myself then talking about my earlier career drawing portraits in biro on brown paper bags!
Stay well and hopeful. The 'ceasefire' in Gaza continues to claim the lives of Palestinian men women and children, as Israel continues to bomb, shoot and block any food or supplies entering Gaza.
Download the No Thanks app and boycott Israeli goods.

There is hope and love around us in this maelstrom. Individual acts of kindness and heroism continue to happen, and knock us for six with their audacity.
Come on .. lets keep going and make 2026 work. We can do it.
All the best to you,
Mik
