Mik Artistik’s Ego Podcast | Episode 01 - Alex Zane

In Episode 1 of Mik Artistik’s Ego Podcast, Mik chats to presenter, writer comedian - Alex Zane!Alex is currently the leading face of Sky Cinema, but has previously graced our screens presenting on MTV, Balls of Steel, Rude Tube - he’s a talented writer and stand up comedian.

Mik and Alex sat together (in a socially distanced manner) in the sunshine last summer and chatted about the trials and tribulations as a standup comedian (with Alex turning down a career in medicine!), being the singer in a band called Batmaus, his love of cinema and his childhood fear of the film Jaws! - all this whilst trying to avoid being attacked by wasps!

For Episode 2 of Mik Artistik’s Ego Podcast, Mik sits down with Premiership referee and owner of ‘The Vinyl Whistle’ record shop, Jonathan Moss!

Jon splits his time between high profile football matches worldwide and looking after his record shop in Headingley, The Vinyl Whistle - playing and selling records, making coffees and spreading joy around the community through music and chat!

Mik & Jon sat and chatted over Zoom about the joy of football, the sweet smell of Bovril, indie rock band Cud, and their mutual friend Andy McVey (aka the artist ‘Burley Banksy’ who creates street art and paintings celebrating Leeds United and Leeds).
